Bob has provided me with a variety of services that I have been very pleased with. I initially brought Bob and his partner Steve in to help us gather requirements and plan for the implementation of a replacement for our ERP system. Bob and Steve implemented a disciplined process and helped us detail out those requirements and select a new platform. Bob then led the effort to oversee the implementation. We were able to go live in less than 9 months on a system that replaced everything from quote to cash. Bob’s expertise in the industry, knowledge of all of the key processes, and his technical process to implement the system were all keys to its success.

Executive/Leadership Coaching

Bob worked with me as my coach for more than a year as well as helped on several specific projects. Bob was instrumental in helping me improve my peer and boss relationships becoming more confident in my communications. His approach to facilitating key business decisions even on previously sensitive topics is a tool in my toolbox that I will use over and over. Bob helped me work through significant organizational and process changes within my team managing both performance issues as well as planning for significant projected growth. On the technical side, he diagnosed a key system performance problem, helped to lead an internal system change decision, and helped craft several key process changes. A decade ago, I never dreamed I’d hold the titles president or CEO. Having spent most of my career working at the mid-management level for both Big Media and startup-media companies, rising to the top seemed an impossibility on par with two consecutive royal flushes. But thanks in large part to Bob’s tutelage and inspiration, I am today CEO of one of the highest-grossing US-based stores on Alibaba’s Taobao platform, and president of the Post-Finasteride Syndrome Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation whose work was recently studied by a team of researchers at Harvard Medical School. So over the course of a year, Bob carefully (yet efficiently and sternly) led me through the entire process, from creating a business plan to raising $280,000 in seed capital to developing a fully functioning mobile app to executing a beta launch involving 1,000 users. Ever since then, I (an English major with a mere bachelor’s degree) have often remarked that the experience was akin to earning an MBA. Bob’s prodigious skill set, broad business knowledge, willingness to quickly master emerging technologies and ability to inspire startup teams to achieve lofty goals never failed to impress me. Today, I harp back to his lessons at least once a week while seeking to solve difficult problems in uncharted territory across international borders. Otherwise put, I’ve learned to steal from the best.
